More than thirty years after the Pittsburgh Pirates of the National Hockey League folded due to the Great Depression, hockey fans in Pittsburgh welcomed their new team to the city and quickly bought Penguins tickets for the games. While fans with Pittsburgh Penguins tickets have seen many players since the team first began in the league in 1967, there is one name that has become synonymous with the Pittsburgh Penguins: Mario Lemieux. As an indicator of the great things to come, Pittsburgh fans with Penguins tickets in 1984 saw Lemieux score a goal with his first shot ever in his first shift on the ice ever. From that moment on, it was clear to all of the holders of Penguins hockey tickets and everyone in the league that Mario Lemieux was unstoppable. By 1997, Lemieux had won six NHL scoring titles, three Hart Trophies for most valuable player of the league, and, most importantly, he was instrumental in bringing not one but two Stanley Cup Championships to the holders of Penguins hockey tickets and the entire city of Pittsburgh. However, despite his success, Lemieux devastated all of the fans with Penguins tickets in Pittsburgh with the announcement of his retirement in 1997, due both to back injuries and his ongoing battle with cancer. With a clean bill of health in 1999, Lemieux involved himself with the Penguins organization again, much to the delight of fans with Penguins hockey tickets. With the franchise in financial trouble, Lemieux stepped in with a team of investors and bought the Penguins. Buzz soon began to swirl among fans with Penguins tickets about Lemieuxs return to hockey, and on December 27, 2000, those rumors were confirmed. In front of a sold out crowd of fans with Penguins tickets, Lemieux returned to the ice, and he recorded an assist within his first 33 seconds on the ice, sending fans with Penguins hockey tickets into a frenzy. Lemieux continues to play the roles of both owner and player now, as he attempts to bring back to Pittsburgh what he had won before, a Stanley Cup Championship. The Pengins finished the 2005-2006 regular season at a dissapointing 22-46-14, however Pittsburgh fans are always some of the most loyal in the game so these tickets are selling fast. It's never too early to purchase Penguins tickets for the 2007 season. So buy Penguins tickets today from MTC Tickets, your customer first broker. View Pittsburgh Penguins Game Schedule:
