By 1967, fans in Philadelphia were ready for a new hockey team and eagerly bought Flyers hockey tickets as soon as the team arrived. Forty years prior, the previous Philadelphia team, the Quakers, had folded after only playing one season. This would certainly not be the case with the Flyers, as their quick success encouraged higher and higher attendance rates of holders of Flyers tickets. Holders of Flyers tickets noticed within the teams first season that this was no ordinary team. Ordinary expansion teams struggle in their first year. The Philadelphia Flyers, however, qualified for the playoffs in their first season and nearly won in the first round, despite playing their home games in Quebec City. The success would continue past that first season, though, as the Flyers have made the playoffs in thirty seasons through 2004, including a stretch of seventeen seasons when fans with Flyers tickets did not miss the playoffs once. These playoff appearances would lead to greater things, as holders of Flyers tickets would discover. In 1974, and again in 1975, the Flyers flew through the playoffs, ultimately ending both seasons with Stanley Cup Finals victories in front of their fans with Flyers hockey tickets. This have proven to be the only Stanley Cup victories in team history thus far, but fans with Philadelphia Flyers tickets remain hopeful that their team will soon return the glory of the Stanley Cup. Attempting to lead the way to a championship in Philadelphia is head coach Ken Hitchcock. Fans with Flyers hockey tickets had high hopes when Hitchcock took over the team in 2002, as he led the Dallas Stars to a Stanley Cup victory just three years earlier in 1999. He brought the Flyers and all of the holders of Flyers tickets close in 2004, when the team was narrowly defeated by the eventual champion Tampa Bay Lightning by one goal in game seven of the conference finals. The flyers experienced some moderate success during the 2005-2006 regular season finishing 45-26-11 clinching a playoff berth for the Stanley Cup Finals only to lose a heartbreaking 6 game series in the first round against the Buffalo Sabres. It's never too early to purchase Flyers tickets for the 2007 season. Buy Flyers tickets today from MTC Tickets, your customer first broker. View Philadelphia Flyers Game Schedule:
