In 1998, the National Hockey League officially announced that the Nashville Predators would be the 27th franchise in league history. Nearly as quickly as the announcement was made, hockey fans in the Nashville area began buying Predators hockey tickets. Later that year, holders of Predators tickets saw the first game in the franchise’s history. Since that time, fans with Predators tickets have seen the team produce three All-Star players, with the good chance of many more to come.

Due to the youth of the franchise, hockey fans in Nashville have only been able to purchase postseason Predators tickets in one season: 2004. The team finally realized their potential and were able to stay healthy for long enough in that season to advance into the playoffs; however, they were beaten by the more experienced Detroit Red Wings in six games. The determination of the players did give fans with Predators hockey tickets a lot of hope and belief that the Predators will soon return the playoffs better than before.

Attempting to lead the team and all of the fans with Memphis Predators tickets is head coach Barry Trotz. Trotz has been the head coach of the Predators since the franchises first game. In 2003, holders of Predators hockey tickets saw Trotz establish a new league record for the most games coached by an expansion teams original head coach. In the teams first season, fans with Predators applauded Trotzs coaching style, as it led to twenty-eight wins, the third most in an first year expansion teams history.

Since the beginning of the franchise, holders of Predators tickets have gone to Gaylord Entertainment Center to cheer on their Predators. The stadium is as new as the Predators themselves, as Gaylord Entertainment Center opened only in 1997. For each home game, around 17,500 holders of Predators hockey tickets come to Gaylord Entertainment Center in hopes of a Predators victory.

Nashville ended the 2005-2006 season in complete success finishing 49-25-8 only to lose a heartbreaking series to San Jose in the first round. Due to this success and the exciting young players that Nashville currently has, tickets are selling fast. It's never too early to purchase Predators tickets for the 2007 season.
