Colts football tickets have sold since the team's opening season in 1947. Formerly the Miami Seahawks, the team moved and were renamed; Colts tickets first sold in Baltimore. On January 18, 1951 the Colts franchise was dissolved due to poor financial conditions. The NFL offered disappointed Baltimore football fans a chance at the relocating Dallas franchise.
