The Texas Tech Red Raiders football team has provided fans with Texas Tech football tickets enjoyable experiences at football games for many years. The Red Raiders have worked to establish themselves as a team with great traditions that fans with Texas Tech tickets can participate in before, during, and after the game. Before every home game, holders of Texas Tech football tickets may notice a red cape wrapped around a large statue in the middle of campus. This statue is a depiction of Will Rodgers and his horse Soapsuds, and certain committees at Texas Tech wrap the statue before each game to show respect for Rodgers and to excite fans with Texas Tech football tickets about the upcoming game. Another more famous tradition at Texas Tech is the tradition of the Masked Rider. First appearing at the Gator Bowl in 1954, the Masked Rider charged out of the tunnel and led the Red Raiders onto the field, exciting fans with Texas Tech Red Raiders football tickets at the game. Today, the Masked Rider still wears his traditional red and black clothing, mask, and bolero hat as he rides around on his black horse stirring up team spirit in all the fans with Texas Tech football tickets.
