Originally founded in 1868, the Oregon State Beavers have been delighting fans with Oregon State football tickets for many, many years. Named after the Oregon state animal, Oregon State has gone by the nickname the Beavers since 1916. The team plays in the Pac-10 Conference of NCAA football. Every year, fans with Oregon State tickets watch their team square off against heavy rivals Oregon and UCLA. In 2001, holders of Oregon State Beavers tickets watched the team accomplish the feat of Pac-10 Conference champion. Any fans with Oregon State Beavers football tickets have seen the team mascot, Benny Beaver, leading the crowd in cheers at the games. Benny excites crowds of fans with Oregon State tickets with such antics as crowd surfing. Owners of Oregon State football tickets accepted Benny as the team mascot in 1952, when he replaced previous mascot, Jimmy the Coyote. Today, Benny stands at six feet tall and appears at every Oregon State game to boost the morale and instill cheers in the hearts of fans with Oregon State football tickets. Since 1953, Reser Stadium has been the home of Beaver football and all those with Oregon State Beaver football tickets. Originally known as Parker Stadium, the home of the Beavers was renamed Reser Stadium in 1999 to honor Al and Pat Reser, who made large monetary contributions to the stadium. While the stadium currently holds a capacity of only 35,362 fans with Oregon State football tickets, it is currently under renovation to add more seats. The three-phase, $80 million renovation will allow the stadium to support up to 44,000 fans with Oregon State Beavers tickets. By the end of the third phase of the renovation, the stadium will be able to hold nearly 55,000 fans with Oregon State football tickets. A highly anticipated event by all fans with Oregon State tickets, the Civil War Game between rivals Oregon and Oregon State is held at Reser Stadium every other year.
