The story of the University of Miami Hurricanes football begins even before Miami tickets were available for sale. The team first began with a small group of freshmen in 1926. Now, the Hurricanes are one of the most prestigious teams in the country, and Miami football tickets are sold out as quickly as they go on sale. The team has experienced great success in its history which spans more than seven decades. The team has brought five national championships home to their fans with Miami Hurricanes football tickets, and it has produced two Heisman Trophy winners. Since 2001, fans with Miami football tickets have looked to Head Coach Larry Coker to guide the team to victory, and he has not disappointed. Sale of Miami football tickets has been booming since Coker took over, as he went 35-3 in his first three seasons, the third best of any coach in a three season span. In 2001, he led the team and all of the fans with Miami Hurricanes football tickets to an undefeated season that culminated in a National Championship win at the Rose Bowl. Additionally, fans with Miami football tickets watched as, under Coach Coker, the team became the first school ever to be invited to all four BCS Bowls in consecutive years. Between 2001 and 2004, fans with Miami football tickets were able to watch their team in the Sugar Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl, the Orange Bowl, and the Sugar Bowl. Since 1937, the Orange Bowl Stadium in Miami, Florida has been the home of fans with Miami Hurricanes football tickets. 22,000 fans with Miami tickets showed up for the inaugural game, and that number would only increase with time. Currently, after a 1996 expansion and renovation, the stadium holds up to 72,000 fans with Miami Hurricanes football tickets. However, the largest crowd ever came in the 1995 Orange Bowl Classic. In this game, extra bleachers had to be added to accommodate the 81,753 fans with Miami football tickets that showed up to watch their Hurricanes take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
