In the team’s long history, which dates back to the early 20th century, holders of Washington Huskies basketball tickets have never seen their team win a national title. However, in their twelve NCAA Tournament appearances, the team has been able to bring their fans with Washington basketball tickets to the Final Four once, in 1953. However, with the arrival of Head Coach Lorenzo Romar in 2003, holders of Washington tickets have a new found hope of a Washington Huskies national title. Prior to the start of the 2003 season, holders of Washington basketball tickets were excited to see new Head Coach Lorenzo Romar return to his alma mater to lead the Huskies basketball team. Romar acted quickly, leading the Huskies and their fans with Washington tickets to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances in 2004 and 2005, marking only the fourth time in school history that the team has qualified for consecutive NCAA Tournaments. In the 2005 season, Romar led the team to a 29 win season, tying a school record set all the way back in 1938 for most wins in a season. This not only brought him the support of fans with Washington Huskies basketball tickets, but also the national recognition as the 2005 Pac 10 Coach of the Year. The current home of the Huskies and their fans with Washington basketball tickets is the Bank of America Arena, which was originally completed in 1927. In order to make game day experiences enjoyable for all fans with Washington tickets, a huge, multi-million dollar renovation concluded in late 2000. This renovation increased capacity, so that now up to 10,000 fans can purchase Washington basketball tickets and enjoy Huskies game. The building maintains its classic architecture, with the classic brick structure and Husky statues that remind fans with Washington Huskies basketball tickets of the long and prosperous history of the Washington Huskies.
