It was the 1989 NBA expansion that brought franchises to Miami, Orlando, and Charlotte, and it also brought the Timberwolves to Minnesota. The tale of the Timberwolves is filled with the difficulties that many expansion teams experience, but it also illustrates the importance of improvement. As soon as the news of basketball's return to Minnesota broke, sale of Timberwolves tickets began. And although the team experienced little success in its first seven seasons, fan support in the form of Minnesota Timberwolves tickets sales never faltered. Those who purchased Timberwolves basketball tickets were rewarded in 1995 with the drafting of Timberwolves star Kevin Garnett. Only 19 years old in his first year in the NBA, Garnett has been a staple of the Timberwolves lineup and a superstar to any fans with Timberwolves tickets. In only his third season, the eight-time NBA All-Star and the rest of the Timberwolves made Timberwolves playoff tickets available for the first time ever, clenching the team's first playoff birth in its seven year history. Following this 1997 season, the Timberwolves success, Kevin Garnett's success, and the fans purchasing of Timberwolves tickets all continued. The Timberwolves made the playoffs for the next six consecutive years. Kevin Garnett became the first Minnesota Timberwolf to win the coveted NBA Most Valuable Player Award in the 2003-2004 season. Fans continued purchasing Minnesota Timberwolves tickets, setting records for attendance during the 2002-2003 season in the Target Center. The Target Center first opened its doors to fans with Timberwolves basketball tickets on October 16, 1990. Since that day, the center has consistently held nearly 19,000 holders of Minnesota Timberwolves tickets. Additionally, perspective buyers of Timberwolves tickets were happy to hear that renovations, such as the replacing of all seats, are scheduled to take place before the 2005-2006 season. It's never too early to purchase Timberwolves tickets for the 2007 season. Buy Timberwolves tickets today from MTC Tickets. View Minnesota Timberwolves Game Schedule: |
