![]() Fans have been buying Journey tickets since their inception in 1973. While pretty much everything in the band changed throughout their fourteen year reign as pop/rock kings including their band members. The group was originally made up of guitarist Neal Schon (formerly of Santana) Ross Valory, Prairie Prince, and George Tickner, with Gregg Rollie on the signature Journey keyboards joining shortly thereafter. The traditionally known unique Journey vocals didn’t come until two years later with the addition of Steve Perry on vocals. Fans that bought Journey concert tickets just after the addition of Steve Perry would have also noticed a change in the way Journey made music. During this time, Journey switched to a more sophisticated rock and released the highly successful Infinity. A few of the band members were unhappy with the direction the band was heading, so they left, just before the release of their marquee release Escape. Escape would lead to not just Journey concert tickets flying out of the box office, but also reaching number one on the album chart, and finally their most famous song of all Don’t Stop Believing hitting the top ten singles chart. Journey was on their way to superstardom and Journey tickets sales showed it. Journey went on to release eighteen total albums in the U.S. and plenty of singles including one on the Armageddon soundtrack in 1998. Journey will always be remembered as part of rock history.
