![]() Fans have been buying Chicago concert tickets for a long time now. In fact, many people don’t know that Chicago is the second most successful American rock band of all time. They have had more successful albums and singles according to the Billboard charts than any other rock band, save the Beach Boys. Because of their popularity over the years, buying Chicago tickets has been a popular thing to do for fans everywhere. And now buying Chicago tickets is easy with MTC Tickets. Chicago paved their way through music history by mixing different aspects of music. Three of the band members were students at the elite DePaul University while also playing everything from R&B to Irish drinking songs in city clubs. It was in these clubs that Chicago met the more informally educated music talent and incorporated it into their own sound that would eventually sell one of the highest amounts of concert tickets in the history of American music. On February 15, 1967 leader Walter Parazaider invited then friends and band prospects to his apartment to put together a band called the Big Thing. The fledgling band practiced in Parazaider’s parents’ basement and then set off to get gigs throughout the city. Eventually, the band expanded their horizons and began playing larger gigs throughout the middle of the country. Finally, with some help from a friend and staff producer at Columbia Records, the band made the move to Los Angeles to try and find their fortune under the new name The Chicago Transit Authority until the real CTA contacted the band and asked that they change their name: Chicago was born and Chicago concert tickets were now at the box office. Their debut under the name Chicago immediately made the top ten on the Billboard charts. From then on the band went through some problems with band continuity and label control but in general stuck to the sound they had invented and it worked. Chicago became one of the most successful bands ever and fans have been buying Chicago concert tickets ever since. Don’t miss out on one of the best tours of the year, buy Chicago tickets today.
